The Tennis for Teal Story

I knew that if we could harness this energy, we could create meaningful change in the fight against ovarian cancer.

Like many of you, I've spent countless hours on the tennis court, reveling in the joy and community our sport brings. But off the court, I faced a devastating opponent - ovarian cancer took my sister from us far too soon.

I watched helplessly as she struggled, not just with the disease, but with a lack of information, support, and effective treatment options. It struck me that while we have powerful movements for other cancers, ovarian cancer remains in the shadows, often detected too late.

That's why I created Tennis for Teal. Our tennis community is incredibly powerful - we're millions strong, passionate, and always ready to rally for a cause. I knew that if we could harness this energy, we could create meaningful change in the fight against ovarian cancer.

In just a short time, we've already seen the impact. We're funding cutting-edge research, supporting women and families affected by ovarian cancer, and spreading awareness far beyond the tennis world. But we're just getting warmed up.

With your support, we can take this movement to championship level. Together, we can ensure that no woman faces ovarian cancer without the full force of early detection, advanced treatments, and a powerful support network behind her.

Join us. Let's use our shared passion for tennis to bring hope to countless women and families. Together, we can change the future of ovarian cancer care.

Bonnie Toon
The heart behind Tennis for Teal. My dear sister Bonnie faced ovarian cancer with remarkable courage but lost her battle at just 59 years old. As the oldest of seven siblings, she left behind a legacy of love that now fuels our mission. Her experience highlighted the critical need for better awareness, support, and research for ovarian cancer patients. Through Tennis for Teal, we hope to carry forward Bonnie's story, turning personal loss into a movement that will help countless women facing this devastating disease. Every serve, every match, every teal ribbon honors Bonnie and all those affected by ovarian cancer.
